Former CIA officer just told us what it’s like to work with Robert Mueller

Scott interviews former CIA officer David Priess delivered the President’s Daily Brief to Special Counsel Robert Mueller when he was the FBI Director and got to know him over the course of a year working closely with him. Priess signed an open letter this past week opposing the President’s politicization of the top secret clearances held by former top-ranking intelligence officers and agency directors. He told Scott why that was such a corrosive decision, and gave him his opinion of the Mueller probe based on his extensive experience in the highest ranks of American intelligence. Priess’ first book was co-authored with President George H. W. Bush named the President’s Book of Secrets and has a new book coming out on November 13th entitled How to Get Rid of a President: History’s Guide to Removing Unpopular, Unable, or Unfit Chief Executives.
